GUO Xiangyuan:Head of the Discipline Inspection Group and Member of the CPC Leading Group, MOST

Mr. Guo Xiangyuan is a member of the Communist Party of China. He was sent to work in Xianfeng County of Hubei Province as an educated youth in 1968. In 1979, he got his Bachelor degree in political economy in Beijing Normal University and. From 1983 to 1994, he served in departments including Publicity Department of CCCPC General Office, the Office for the Central Leading Group in Economic and Financial Affairs, Secretary Department Άσ & Άς of the General Office of the State Council. From 1994 to 2000, he acted as Assistant Political Officer, Political Officer, and Deputy Director-General (DG level) in Secretary Department Άς of the General Office of the State Council. From 2000 to 2005, he was Secretary (DG level) of the General Office of the State Council. From 2005 to 2008, he was Assistant Minister and member of the leading Party Group in the Ministry of Education. Since December of 2008, he was appointed by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection as the leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group in MOST and member of the leading Party Group in MOST.

Mr. Guo Xiangyuan is in charge of anti-corruption affairs, and oversees the Discipline Inspection Group of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection based in MOST and the Bureau of Supervision.
